 In Australia is part of PLAN globally, one of the world's largest community development organisations committed to ending child poverty. PLAN works globally and locally to mobilise individuals, corporations, foundations and governments to improve the lives of children, their families and communities in over 45 developing countries. Coffee Click currently sponsors children from coffee growing regions of Africa and Indonesia in an effort to support those communities that bring us that celebrated social lubricant.  Tuesday, June 10th was a day of success for baristas Rhia Van Derveer and Genevieve Hill. Sponsored by PeAk coffee and trained by PeAk's coffee consultant Kev Newell, the girls put on a brilliant display to take out 1st (Rhia) and 2nd (Genevieve) place in the Port Macquarie qualifying round of the Danes Gourmet Institute, Grand Barista Championship. Also competing under the PeAk banner was Ana Gadia, who although missing out on a podium finish, felt the experience was invaluable to her future in the business. Port Macquarie cafes, Crema Espresso and Peloton Espresso Bar heaped praise on their girls, acknowledging their commitment and enthusiasm. If you're in Port Macquarie and want to sample some championship skills, just drop into either Crema (Rhia) or Peloton (Genevieve & Ana) - or why not both?
