Nestled in the Kenyan highlands, the Kamvara Estate is a testament to the dedication of Grace Njoki Njage. Since 2009, Grace has single-handedly managed the farm, continuing the legacy she once shared with her late husband. Her perseverance shines through in every harvest. The estate’s high altitude, reaching up to 1,750 meters, provides the perfect conditions for coffee cherries to develop a sweet and dense character, which translates into an exceptional cup.

At Kamvara, the journey from cherry to bean is one of meticulous care. Each coffee cherry is selectively handpicked before being processed through the estate’s own pulper. The beans then undergo a dry fermentation for up to 24 hours, followed by a second 24-hour soak in clean water after being washed. This double-soak method is a hallmark of the attentive preparation that defines Kenyan coffee. To finish, the wet parchment is slowly dried on raised beds for two to three weeks, ensuring a consistent and high-quality flavour profile that we are proud to share with you.
